Bringing Out the Best in Kids!

Through all of our fundraising, and especially cheese curd booths, we try to give back to the local community of Brodhead and Green County as much as possible. 

Be Generous

Each new baby born into the Brodhead school system is presented with a literacy package including a board book and many other resources to encourage literacy and reading to your baby.

Each Fall 3rd Graders at Albrecht Elementary are presented with free pocket-sized dictionaries courtesy of the club.

The Essay Contest is open to anyone under 19 as of Dec. 31. Each contestant MUST enter through a local Optimist Club. Grand prize is a $6,000 scholarship.

The Oratorical Contest is open to any under 16 as of Dec. 31. Grand prize is a $1,500 scholarship.

Each Christmas season trees with ornaments listing a child-in-need’s wish list are displayed at the local banks. The collected presents are delivered in time for Christmas by Optimist members working with our local White Gift Food Pantry.
